Did you know that before switching parties, during his tenure as mayor of Las Vegas, he betrayed Nevadans by defunding the police department by millions, endangering both residents and tourists? This led to a surge in crime rates and more than doubled murder rates.
If that isn’t alarming enough, consider the tax hikes he imposed on his constituents, disproportionately affecting small businesses and working families. But wait, there's more! CCP Lee also threw his support behind the disastrous socialist healthcare scheme known as Obamacare.
Still skeptical that a supposed Republican could endorse such disastrous policies? Consider his words about his Democratic opponent when he ran for Congress as a Democrat and dropped out : “Steven Horsford is a great candidate, and with our party focused on getting Shelley [Berkley] elected to the U.S. Senate, [Democrats] elected to Congress and keeping our majorities in Carson City, I felt a primary with Steven was only going to avert millions of dollars away from our goals” - Democrat John “CCP” Lee.
